Saturday 1st to Sunday 23rd December   -   La Fête dé Noué
The Island is ‘lit up’ with a full programme of activities arranged to complement the lead up to the festive period.  Meander through the streets of St. Helier , under a canopy of brilliant white lights and experience late night shopping and street entertainment. Enchantment awaits you as Jersey 's harbour towns twinkle under the stars. Partake in guided walks covering the Islands history and natural environment or perhaps, join the Ghost of Christmas Past on late night ghoulish walks around the Island 's historic castles, dark country lanes and old graveyards! Enjoy traditional markets, street theatre, Christmas parades and much more….

Saturday 16th February – Saturday 29th March     Winter Warmers
New season cuisine at extraordinary value.  Over half of the islands restaurants will be participating with special set priced menus, showing off the best of their culinary skills.

Top ranking tennis players visit Jersey this year for this professional tennis tournament. 

Thursday 27th – Sunday 30th March            World 2008 Kempo Karate Championship
Over 1000 Karate experts and competitors from around the world gather to compete within the World Championships.

The Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society invite you to their springtime show, featuring displays, demonstrations and competitions.

Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th May                  Jersey Open Petanque Competition 
Join in the fun and test your skill at the Jersey Open Petanque Competition. 

Friday 2nd – Monday 5th May                  Jersey MG Owners Club Spring Rally 
Every year more and more visiting cars attend this prestigious rally, set against the beautiful backdrop of Jersey . Several motoring activities are planned for this exciting annual event. An absolute must for any car-enthusiast. 

Friday 9th – Sunday 11th May                 Liberation Festival

Join islanders to celebrate the liberation from Occupying Forces during World War II. A variety of activities and events are planned including heritage trails and access to WWII bunkers not normally open to the public.  ‘Liberation Day’ falls on Friday 9th May when there will be a commemorative service and islanders will celebrate freedom, reconciliation and prosperity with an afternoon tea dance and food fair. 

Saturday 17th May                     Gorey Fête de la Mer
Set in the shadow of the magnificent Mont Orgueil Castle , Gorey is the place to head for an array of traditional sea food, al fresco dining and entertainment, along Gorey Pier.

Discover an island heritage and explore Jersey ’s natural beauty in a series of free guided walks designed for you whatever your age and experience.

Sunday 18th – Sunday 25th May           World Jersey Cattle Bureau Conference

Fascinated by the Jersey Cow and the Island ’s rich farming history?  Meet the global members of the World Jersey Cattle Bureau and accompany them on all or part of their conference.  Learn all about the heritage and development of this famous breed, through a series of farm visits, tours and formal conference sessions.

Saturday 24th – Monday 26th May              Foire de Jersey
Jersey ’s traditional country fayre combines with the Jersey Rose and Flower Show and Island Spring Cattle Show to promise a full entertainment programme for all the family. Activities include cattle shows, a craft show, ring-events, food tasting, traditional country games and floral displays, demonstrations and competitions.  

Thursday 29th May – Sunday 1st June     Secrets and Spies

Mont Orgueil Castle has protected the Island from invasion since the 13th century and been privy to secrets and spies throughout the ages.  Investigate codes, secret clues and espionage with re-enactors from the UK and Jersey to entertain and tell the stories of spies and soldiers during the Napoleonic War.

Friday 6th – Sunday 8th June                 Jersey Festival of Motoring 
Sprints, hill climbs, treasure hunts, cavalcades and static displays give participants and spectators the opportunity to come together in an extravaganza of motoring from yesteryear. 

Sunday 15th June                       Dawn Chorus

En j oy a concert in the east overlooking the sea as the sun rises then j oin your guide on an early morning walk listening to the birdsong.

Friday 20th June                       Solstice Celebration

Join Islanders on a procession to the sea and see the wicker man burn on the beach as part of the solstice celebration.

Saturday 21st June                     Itex Walk
Covering a total distance of 48.1 miles this annual event attracts both local and visiting walkers, raising funds for Jersey charities. Walkers can expect to complete the course in anything between 12 to 21 hours.


Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June             Samarès Summer Festival and
Jersey Rose Show

Join Samarès Manor and The Jersey Rosarians for this summer festival and spectacle of colour and fragrance in the beautiful grounds of the Manor, featuring displays, demonstrations, horticultural trade stands and traditional crafts.

Friday 27th June                       Sunset Concert

Bring a picnic and a bottle of champagne and enjoy an evening concert al fresco at the magical Dolmen de Grantez as you watch the sun set over St Ouen’s Bay.

Saturday 5th – Sunday 6th July          Out of the Blue Maritime Festival

Come along and en j oy a spectacular Maritime extravaganza around St Helier harbour. En j oy street theatre and an al fresco food fair, boat trips and sea shanties. Visiting Norman traders from nearby France will also be selling Soup de Poisson, Crepes, Calvados and other 'fruits of the sea'.

Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th July             West Show

This bi-annual country show takes place in the country Parish of St Peter and features rural exhibits, traditional craft stalls, demonstrations and food tastings associated with a traditional country 'fayre' as well as introducing visitors to the island's most famous residents - the beautiful Jersey Cow.

Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th July             Romans and Gauls

Professional reenactors recreating the lives of the Roman and Early Britons will transform the tranquil site of La Hougue Bie into a hive of activity as Legionnaires display their hand-to-hand fighting skills, while camp followers and the indigenous people illustrate the more sedate activities of calligraphy and mosaic making.

Monday 11th – Sunday 17th August             Jersey International Food Festival   

A vibrant Food Festival featuring world cuisines: English, Portuguese, Polish, Chinese, Thai, Italian, USA and many more. Enjoy live music whilst you eat.

Thursday 14th – Friday 15th August           Battle of Flowers Carnival

Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular carnivals in Europe . Enjoy the spectacle of flower festooned floats, musicians, dancers and entertainers providing a tremendous atmosphere for one of the highlights in our summer events calendar.

Thursday 21st August                   Gorey Fête

Set in the picturesque harbour of Gorey , enjoy fun for all the family, including beach events, Crown and Anchor and the famous yard of ale and spaghetti eating competitions. Sample Al Fresco eating all day.

Saturday 23rd – Monday 25th August      Treasure Island

A family event based on the classic children's adventure - set in the days of sailing ships and pirates - Treasure Island tells of the adventures of Jim Hawkins and his search for the buried treasure of the notorious pirate Captain Flint.

Saturday 30th – Sunday 31st August           Jersey Live Music Festival
Expect to see a full line up of cutting edge International and UK Acts at the biggest little ‘Indie rock’ festival in the British Isles

Friday 5th – Sunday 7th September            Jersey Regatta  
The island’s ‘Flagship’ sailing event celebrates its 10th year and welcomes visiting yachts from the UK, Channel Islands and France.  St Aubin’s Bay is the dedicated sailing area and will offer a full programme of races for dinghies, beach catamarans, sports boats and racer/cruising yachts. 

Thursday 11th September                     International Air Display 
The skies above Jersey come alive to the sights and sounds of arguably one of the largest free air displays in Europe

Saturday 13th – Saturday 20th September      Autumn Walking Week
Experience the wonderful autumnal colours of Jersey and join in a full free programme of unique countryside, coastal and history walks with some of the Island ’s most experienced guides. Highlight of the week includes the ‘Around Island Walk’.

Sunday 14th September                  Canine ‘Come Dancing’ Tournament

Participants and supporters from across Europe return to Jersey for a number of canine competitions and displays throughout the day.

Saturday 20th September                     Fête des Dolmens  
Island
wide tour of archaeological sites.  Hop on the special dolmen bus and take a trip back 6,000 years to visit the Island ’s ancient ritual sites.   

Tuesday 23rd - Sunday 28th September       Festival of Arts & Crafts
Over 80 exhibitors, mostly from the UK and Europe , will be showcasing their arts and handmade crafts at the Royal Showground, Trinity. Conveniently located all under one roof the Festival will include food & drink products and unusual gifts.

Wednesday 1st October – Wednesday 12th November   ‘Tennerfest’

Delight in Jersey 's sumptuous cuisine and attractive surroundings as you dine in style from just £10.  For lunch or dinner, depending on the establishment, over 110 restaurants in Jersey will be taking part in this popular annual event.   Restaurants will also be offering menus for £12.50 & £15.00.

Sunday 5th October                           Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon   
The marathon starts on the streets of St Helier and runs through some of the Island 's most scenic spots, taking in country lanes, picturesque valleys and the beautiful coast of Jersey .  In addition to the main marathon, there is a relay race and fun run.  A run for everyone! 

Monday 6th – Friday 10th October                  2008 Players PGA Championship 
For the seventh year running this Pro-Am Tournament will combine both professional and amateur golfers in one of the most important ranking events in the South Region.  

Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th October           International Choir Festival

Visiting choirs from Europe and beyond participate in numerous concerts and competitions, culminating in the Open Final.

Friday 10th – Saturday 11th October          Jersey Rally
Drivers and navigators skills are tested to the limit through the lanes of Jersey . Vehicles range from Mini's to World Rally cars, all of them providing superb entertainment for the thousands of spectators attending each year.

Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th October          Autumn, Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Show

The Royal Jersey Horticultural Society invites you to experience the shades of autumn with floral displays of all kinds and fruit and vegetables arranged in the most creative of ways.  There will also be a poultry and small animal display and the Island Autumn Cattle Show as well as afternoon tea with home made cakes.

Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th October          La Faîs'sie d’Cidre (Cider Festival)
Celebrate the cider of today and yesterday with a variety of activities and tastings at Hamptonne.
